Caroline Harrison Receives Private Practice Achievement Award

Earlier this month, Pham Harrison LLP Managing Partner Caroline Harrison was awarded the Private Practice Achievement Award by Texas A&M School of Law at its first Alumni Legacy Awards reception. The inaugural event recognized law school graduates who have made noteworthy contributions to the legal field and the community.

The law school in downtown Fort Worth was formerly known as Texas Wesleyan University School of Law, where Caroline graduated cum laude in 2004.

Acceptance Remarks

“To say that I was surprised when I found out I was receiving this award would be an understatement. I believe in striving for excellence in not only the practice of law but in being a good citizen, partner, wife, mother, and friend. I feel extremely honored to have good friends and colleagues who nominated me for this award and I want to thank Craig Woodcook and Theresa Berend for their roles in this process. I am humbled by your faith in me.

To be selected for this award among so many talented alumni is truly an honor. I love being a part of the Tarrant County legal community and am so thankful for the experience I had at the law school. The foundation I received there was truly invaluable. I would like to thank one person in particular, Patti Gearhart Turner, for placing me in an externship at Cantey Hanger and serving as a mentor to me during the rocky days of law firm clerkship.

I want to thank my Parnter Lu Pham for the last eight years. Starting our firm was a scary endeavor when all I had known was a large firm. Lu’s wisdom and guidance in the early days made all the difference. I cannot think of a better person to partner with on this journey.

My husband Wayne and my daughter Eva have been on this journey with me as well. Those who practice law know that it is not just something that you do nine to five, Monday to Friday. When you put the practice of law together with building a firm, it is truly something that touches the whole family. Wane has been my rock through my whole career and even more since 2015. I could not have accomplished what I have at Pham Harrison without his support and friendship. Being a teenage daughter is not easy, but when your mother is an attorney, it just gets a little more complicated. Eva is an amazing person and rolls with it when I have to work evenings and weekends and never (hardly ever) complains.

Finally, thank you to the Texas A&M University School of Law Alumni Association and the Awards Committee for selecting me for this award. I am humbled to know that you found me worthy of this inaugural award.”
