Tucker F. Sowell is an 8th-generation Texan who focuses his practice on employer-defense litigation, business litigation, police/fire arbitration, and labor disputes. As the founder of his own wedding music business, he understands firsthand the personal and legal challenges that employers and entrepreneurs face in today’s business climate.
Tucker attended Texas A&M School of Law, where he graduated cum laude. While in law school, Tucker gained valuable experience clerking for Judge Jim Johnson in the 431st Judicial District Court in Denton, where he was immersed in all types of civil litigation.
Prior to law school, Tucker gained federal legislative experience working for Congresswoman Kay Granger in her Washington D.C. and Fort Worth offices as a staff assistant and outreach coordinator. Tucker additionally worked for DFW Musicians Services, where he administered union collective bargaining agreements from both a labor and management perspective as an operations manager. Tucker founded the North Texas Music Company, which hires classical musicians to perform weddings in DFW.
Tucker graduated magna cum laude from the University of North Texas with degrees in Political Science and Cello Performance, where he was the recipient of the prestigious North Texas in D.C. Fellowship. He also received the UNT College of Music Excellence in Chamber Music award.
In his free time, Tucker is an active freelance cellist who enjoys performing for orchestras, churches, and weddings. He is happily married to his beautiful Croatian wife, Manuela Barić.
