Associate Tucker Sowell Joins Pham Harrison
Tucker Sowell, a cum laude May graduate of Texas A&M University School of Law, has joined Pham Harrison, a Labor & Employment litigation firm.
Sowell interned with Pham Harrison for seven months during 2022, focusing on research, writing briefs regarding employment and business litigation, and drafting motions and discovery requests.
“Having Tucker last year, seeing his work ethic and fit with our attorneys made adding him to the team an easy decision,” said Managing Partner Caroline Harrison. “The firm is able to invest training and coaching in our associates because of our size and our relationships built by our time spent engaging with the A&M Law School.”
Sowell clerked in 2021 with Judge Jim Johnson, 431st District Court (Civil), in Denton and drafted jury charges for four civil trials, observed three bench trials, and attended various hearings. He also spent 16 months during 2017-19 working for U.S. Rep. Kay Granger as a staff assistant and Outreach Coordinator.
“I chose to work for Pham Harrison after clerking for Judge Jim Johnson. At the time, nobody thought they could win a jury trial in Denton County that involved proving a partnership agreement when nothing was in writing and the business was cash only,” said Sowell. “Needless to say, they defied expectations and won the case with a unanimous jury. Lu Pham, Caroline Harrison, and Spencer Mainka are simply some of the best litigators around. I couldn’t ask for a better firm to work for.”
In addition to legal work, Sowell is engaged in the music scene. He is the owner of The North Texas Music Company, which hires professional musicians for weddings and churches, and provides private music lessons for Arlington ISD’s AMEP Program. Before that, he spent two years as Operations Manager for DFW Musicians Services.
Pham Harrison attorneys assist clients from the formulation of policies that comply with the myriad regulations and laws with which employers must comply, to protection from unfair competition, restraint of trade, government investigations, wage and hour disputes, and all varieties of wrongful termination or discrimination/retaliation claims.
